English Language Competition 2025
The European school in Armenia foundation organized a two phase event: English Language competition 2025. Phase one- Writing on November 7 and Phase two- Public Speaking on November 28.
In the framework of the event, grade 6–9 PLL-s competed in two different categories
- Grades 6–7: Learners were challenged to write a short story based on a given introduction and present it.
- Grades 8–9: Students were challenged to write an essay on a given topic and present it.
To support students’ preparation, two training sessions were organized, giving participants the opportunity to practice and enhance their skills before the competition.
During the event, several important IB Learner Profile attributes were developed:
- Thinker – analyzing questions and proposing logical stories/ statements for essay
- Communicator – expressing ideas clearly within their essays and stories
- Principled – showing integrity and respect for rules and peers
- Inquirer – approaching each topic with curiosity and openness
- Risk-takers – having the courage to present their stories/essays in public
Learners from European School in Armenia Foundation, Avedisian school, Mkhitar Sebastatsi school, Usmunk school and Public School # 8 named after Alexandr Pushkin were among the participants. Learners from European school, Public School # 8 named after Alexandr Pushkin and Usmunk achieved top results, showcasing strong academic writing, creative writing and public speaking skills.
We thank all participating schools for their enthusiasm and congratulate our winners. Events like this reaffirm our mission to cultivate reflective, knowledgeable, and internationally minded learners prepared to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
