monthly values
At European School Kindergarten we believe that fostering a strong foundation of values is essential for the development of well-rounded, responsible, and compassionate individuals. Monthly values play a significant role in this process by providing a focused theme that helps children understand and internalize key principles such as kindness, respect, responsibility, and honesty.
By dedicating each month to a specific value, our facilitators can introduce children to the concept of virtues in a way that is engaging and understandable. In addition to enhancing social-emotional skills, monthly values promote consistency in learning. By revisiting the same value throughout the month, children are given multiple opportunities to engage with it in various contexts, whether through stories, discussions, role-playing, or group activities. This repeated exposure helps reinforce the importance of these values in everyday life.
Moreover, when children understand and embrace the core values being taught, they are better equipped to form positive relationships with peers and adults. They begin to develop empathy, learn to resolve conflicts peacefully, and understand the importance of working together as a team. These skills will not only benefit them in kindergarten but will serve as a strong foundation for their future educational journey and beyond.
