Promoting Academic Excellence and Cultural Identity through Armenian Studies
The core objective of this initiative is to focus our learners’ attention on the vital importance of academic knowledge and the accumulation of fundamental insights within the field of Armenian Studies. By engaging with their heritage, students not only enhance their sense of patriotism but also develop essential Self-Management, Intellectual, and Social skills.
This event is specifically designed to cultivate the following Approaches to Learning (ATL) Skills:
1. Thinking Skills
Subskill: Critical Thinking Students engage in analyzing and interpreting historical, cultural, and societal information about Armenia. This intellectual rigor allows them to effectively answer complex questions and navigate puzzles rooted in their heritage.
2. Research Skills
Subskill: Media Literacy Our learners practice using reliable sources and drawing upon prior knowledge to explore the nuances of Armenian traditions and identity. This fosters a sophisticated understanding of how to manage information in a digital and historical context.
The event reflected several key attributes of the IB Learner Profile:
