INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 2025
On November 10, the European School community came together for a vibrant and inquiry-driven celebration of science, where curiosity and discovery shaped the learning experience of the day. Learners were invited to explore scientific phenomena through hands-on activities that encouraged investigation, creativity, and collaboration.
From KG1 to Grade 9, students engaged in experiments, design challenges, and demonstrations that allowed them to apply scientific thinking in meaningful and age-appropriate ways. Their enthusiasm reflected essential IB Learner Profile attributes, such as:
- Inquirers – asking questions, testing ideas, and showing genuine curiosity;
- Thinkers – analyzing observations, drawing conclusions, and solving problems creatively;
- Communicators – sharing findings and explaining concepts to peers;
- Risk-takers / Courageous – trying new approaches and embracing experimentation.
The day fostered key ATL skills as learners collaborated, reflected on their processes, and connected scientific concepts to real-world contexts.
The event created an atmosphere of joy, inspiration, and shared discovery, reminding our community that science is not only a subject, but a pathway to understanding the world and imagining new possibilities. It highlighted the magic of inquiry and the power of learning together.
