The Spelling Competition is a language-based contest in which learners orally spell words, explain their spelling features, and recall them from memory. The competition aims not only to improve literacy skills but also to develop Learner Profile attributes such as thoughtfulness, principled behavior, kindness, courage, and a love of learning.

Participants do not merely memorize words-they learn to understand and articulate rules, explain their reasoning, think logically, and act confidently. This approach fosters a conscious attitude toward language and encourages the active use of speech as a tool for thinking and interaction.
