A Celebration of Inquiry: “What? Where? When?” Inter-School Tournament

The European School places strong emphasis on inter-school collaboration and the creation of meaningful platforms for intellectual development. Such initiatives support our commitment to inquiry-based learning and the growth of critical thinking within the broader educational community.

On November 22, 2025, in partnership with the Armenian Association of Independent Schools “One Voice,” the European School hosted the inter-school “What? Where? When?” Intellectual Game Festival, welcoming teams from thirteen schools in Yerevan. The event offered a dynamic space where learners applied reasoning, teamwork, and communication in a supportive competitive environment.

The event was led by Seyran Martirosyan, head of the KhoranArd Intellectual Center, whose guidance enriched the overall experience.

Development of Learner Profile Attributes

During the event, several important IB Learner Profile attributes were developed:

  • Thinker – analyzing questions and proposing logical solutions;
  • Communicator – expressing ideas clearly within their teams;
  • Principled – showing integrity and respect for rules and peers;
  • Inquirer – approaching each challenge with curiosity and openness.

Teams from Global Bridge, Artashes Shahinyan Physics and Mathematics Special School, and the Aregnazan Educational Complex achieved top results, showcasing strong collaboration and critical-thinking skills.

We thank all participating schools for their enthusiasm and congratulate our winners. Events like this reaffirm our mission to cultivate reflective, knowledgeable, and internationally minded learners prepared to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
