September 1 at the European School was more than simply the first day of a new academic year. It was a celebration that brought the entire school community together.

The new school year began with a welcoming assembly, followed by a vibrant programme that brought together learning, science, creativity, play and entertainment.

Throughout the school grounds, students explored a variety of science and interactive activity stations, where they had the opportunity to experiment, ask questions, discover and learn through first-hand experience. Each station created an environment where learning became an engaging and active process that extended beyond the classroom.

One of the most anticipated highlights of the day was the talent competition. Students took to the stage to share their abilities, creativity and interests, demonstrating that school is not only a place for academic learning, but also a space where every student can discover their individuality and express themselves with confidence.

The celebration continued with dance performances, music, games and a variety of activities. Most importantly, however, the day created a strong sense of belonging. Students, teachers and members of the wider school community came together to begin another year of learning and discovery.

The celebration also reflected an educational approach that is central to the European School: encouraging students to be curious, inquire, create, collaborate and confidently express their own ideas.

September 1 marks the beginning of a new journey. We hope that every day of this journey will give our students new opportunities to ask questions, make discoveries, gain meaningful experiences and grow.
