Job Description

The “European School in Armenia” Foundation is seeking a qualified Social Studies Teacher who can teach in English.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Social Studies lessons in accordance with the school curriculum

• Present learning materials clearly, effectively, and in an age-appropriate manner

• Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and ability to participate in discussions and debates

• Encourage active student participation in classroom discussions and group activities

• Assess students’ knowledge, progress, and participation

• Maintain appropriate records of student progress and assessment

• Use teaching materials and modern educational tools effectively

• Collaborate with other teachers and members of the school’s academic team

• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Social Studies curriculum

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Relevant higher education and/or teaching qualification in Social Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field

• Previous teaching experience

• Strong critical and analytical thinking skills

• Effective classroom management skills

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of English proficiency, with the ability to communicate and teach confidently in English

• Ability to engage and motivate students and encourage active participation
