Trndez at the European School

On February 13, we celebrated Trndez at the European School. As part of the celebration, students learned about the religious and cultural significance of the holiday, tasted traditional Armenian dishes, and participated in engaging themed games. In the spirit of the holiday, the children brought offerings such as roasted wheat, wheat, pomegranates, dried fruits, homemade halva, and gata (a traditional pastry). Staff and students also wore traditional Armenian clothing and accessories.

Significance of the celebration:

Universal and National Values. The celebration of Trndez emphasizes Armenian traditions, as well as respect and devotion to the homeland, contributing to the development of national values. It also introduces international learners to Armenian Christian culture, traditions, and religious values.

Inclusion and Responsibility. The Trndez celebration involves all students, regardless of their social or economic status, or national and religious background, thus promoting inclusivity and the development of social responsibility.
